Born in Jerusalem in 1890; was educated in Turkish schools during the Ottoman times; worked as a court clerk in the Central Court and the Court of Appeals, then – during WWI – as head of clerks; moved to the military administration in Jerusalem; was appointed a Judge in the Ramleh Court and later in the District Court of Nablus and Jaffa; one of the famous cases he dealt with was the land property of the late Sultan Abdul Hamid in Palestine; was considered as one of the experts on land issues; his publications are considered major references on early land issues in Palestine; one of the weightiest Arab judges in Palestine during his times; an unsurpassed advocate of many Arab projects for social work; was appointed member of the Jordanian House of Representatives, succeeding Omar Al-Saleh Al-Barghouthi on 16 Dec. 1954; died in April 1956.
