Was born on 4th August 1965 in Al-Shati refugee camp in western Gaza, his family was displaced during the 1948 war from their hometown Al-Qubeiba near Ramla, he schooled in Al-Shati School for boys, then in New Gaza School for refugees, he later enrolled in UNRWA’s vocational school to become a tiler and worked as one for a long time, he became active with the beginning of the second Intifada (2000) some resources indicate that Bashir joined the Islamic Jihad Organization in early 80s, joined the organization’s military corps, known as Islamic Forces (Qasam) establishedby Mahmoud Al-khwaja in, Bashir Dabbash was killed with his assistant Zarif Al-Ar’ier when Israeli reconnaissance aircraft launched a missile on their car which lead to their death on Tuesday 5th October 2004.
