Born in Ramleh in 1894; worked as teacher; then became editor of the Filastin newspaper; established the Jaffa library; was arrested during the British Mandate for his political articles; was displaced during the 1948 Nakba to Jordan, where he wrote his memoirs; his contributions include Arab Palestine Between the Mandate and Zionism (Arabic, 2 parts, 1937); died in As-Salt in 1949.
