Born in Jerusalem in 1962; studied Art and Social Sciences at Birzeit University and Cinema in Italy; began working as a press photographer in 1982 (until 1997) for the local and international media; participated also in several photo exhibitions in Europe; began to work with film in the late 1980s and directed several experimental videos during 1991-94; his first documentary ‘Song on a Narrow Path: Stories from Jerusalem’ (Italy, 2001) received several awards, incl. from Torino, Lussas, and Nyon.
