Birth: NULL/NULL/1870 Death:NULL/NULL/1951
Born in Nazareth in 1870; studied at the Russian School; joined the Arab opposition movement against Ottoman rule and was obliged to leave to Egypt in 1897; taught Arabic and wrote in different periodicals focusing on Russian literature; produced several papers, incl. Al-Usbu’ (The Week) in 1900, ‘Arous An-Nil (Bride of the Nile) in 1924 and Al-Ikha’ (Brotherhood) in 1924, in addition to a number of novels starting from 1909; also wrote travel literature based on visits he made each year; was keen in writing about Russian writers like Tolstoy, Gorky and Pushkin; died in 1951.
