Born in Gaza City in 1880; studied Science at Al-Rashidiyyeh School in Gaza; moved to Bir Saba and was elected its mayor in 1927 until 1947; served as member in the Education Dept. during much of the British Mandate of Palestine; was one of the leading businessmen in Palestine; died in 1950.
