Born in Jerusalem in 1939; was raised and educated in Jerusalem; attended secondary school in Alexandria; received a BA in Business Administration from Alexandria University; worked as cartoonist and painter; returned to Jerusalem, where he felt the urge for artistic expression following the occupation in 1967 and created different visual art paintings reflecting angles of Arab-Palestinian Jerusalemite identity; held his first exhibition in 1980, after which he became an active member in the League of Palestinian Artists; held several individual and group exhibitions in Palestine, Jordan, the Arab Gulf, Japan, Italy, Russia, Spain, the US and Tunisia; died on 14 Aug. 2001.
