Born in 1958; Fateh activist in Gaza; was imprisoned for eight years by the Israeli authorities and released during a prisoner exchange between the PLO and Israel in 1985; member of the Fateh Higher Committee and the Fateh Revolutionary Council; worked in the Media Bureau of Fateh; writes in Al-Sabah daily newspaper; headed Fateh’s information service in Gaza and was the editor of Al-Karameh magazine published in Gaza from 1996; was appointed Ambassador of Palestine to the People’s Republic of China in Oct. 2005.
