AHMAD FAWZI AL-DEIK

Born in Kufr Al-Deik in 1960; graduated with a BA in Sociology from Birzeit University in 1982; was deported from the OPT for membership in Fateh and lived in South Lebanon from April to June 1988; then moved with other PLO leaders to Tunisia in July 1988; was appointed vice-representative of Palestine in Geneva in 1991; at the same time pursued his MA and PhD studies in Sociology in Tunisia, graduating in 1994; returned with the PA to Palestine the same year; is a member of the Fateh Higher Committee and the Fateh Revolutionary Council; was elected PLC member (Fateh) for Salfit in the Jan. 1996 elections; served as member of the PLC Political Committee; ran unsuccessfully in the 2006 PLC elections (Fateh, Salfit district).
