Born in Ramallah in 1937; graduated from the Ramallah Secondary School in 1955; became a teacher in the Jericho Secondary School for Girls for one year in 1965; taught at the Aziz Shahin School in Ramallah from 1969-78; was also politically active; was deported by the Israeli authorities to Rantis, and from there to Beit ‘Ur; volunteered in several women’s activities and became member of An-Nahda Women’s Society in 1962, serving as its treasurer, then as its head in 1987; member of the In’ash Al-Usra Society since 1972; active in the Palestinian Greek Orthodox community; member of the GUPW; co-founder and treasurer of the National Commission for Palestinian Community Institutions since 1997.
