DALLAL MUGHRABI

Birth: NULL/NULL/1958 Death:NULL/NULL/1978
Born in Beirut in 1958 to a family originally from Jaffa, which had been displace to Lebanon during the 1948 Nakba; was educated in UNRWA schools; became affiliated with Fateh; undertook military training while still in school; following the massacres in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, led a commando group on 11 March 1978 that sailed to Tel Aviv, infiltrated the beach, killed an American Jew, and hijacked a bus along the coastal highway; the Israeli army pursued the bus and the hijacking ended in the killing of 36 people on the bus; the Israeli army killed all perpetrators in the ensuing battle, incl. her (the attack was the trigger for the Israeli Operation Litani against PLO bases in Lebanon three days later).
