Born in Ramleh on 8 Nov. 1945; actor for Jordanian theater and radio productions (1964-67); founder, General Director and Artistic Director of the Drama Arts Group in Jerusalem from 1970-86; President of the Palestinian Actors League (1989-93 and 1999-2005); founder, General Director and Artistic Director of Al-Kasaba Theater in Jerusalem since 1986 and Ramallah since 2000; playwright, director and adaptor of numerous plays; performed in dozens of plays, drama serials, and as main actor in hundreds of TV programs for children; wrote, acted and directed hundreds of radio drama programs; produced and presented several TV talk shows; participated in a number of international festivals; currently works on establishing a drama school in Palestine.
