Born in Nablus in 1954; studied Business in Egypt; was deported for his political activity and moved to Beirut, where he worked as a journalist from 1976-82; member of the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists since 1980; served as editor of the Palestinian Dept. and member of the editorial board of Al-Hadaf magazine in Beirut and Damascus from 1981-89; conducted interviews with a number of Palestinian and Arab personalities; moved to Jordan and became editor-in-chief of Nida’ Al-Watan magazine from 1990-92; founded in Amman a publishing house affiliated with Al-Dustour newspaper; returned to Ramallah in 1994 and worked as Dir.-Gen. of the Publications Dept. at the PA Ministry of Information; lecturer in different universities; political analyst and columnist for Al-Ayyam newspaper, Ramallah.
