Born in the village of Al-Ba’na of Al-Shaghour in the Galilee in 1927; schooled in Al-Rama and Acre; attended the Palestinian Police School in Bethlehem, graduating in 1944; worked with the Police after 1945; was appointed as a teacher of Punishment Law In 1948; member of the National Liberation League and active in the Arab Democratic Party; was obliged to leave his work for his political activity and worked in construction until 1969; then was editor of Al-Ittihad newspaper until 1978; elected head of the Arab Local Council of Al-Shaghour for one term in 1978; worked in Al-Aswar Publishing House in Acre; published short story and poetry collections and a novel; his writings reflect the social and psychological atmosphere among Palestinians before 1948 as well as the life of Palestinians inside the Green Line; his biography was published in 1996; currently Honorary Chairman of Al-Aswar Publishing House in Acre and spokesperson of the Arab Democratic Party.
