Born in Jerusalem in 1935; elected member of the Jordanian parliament; imprisoned by the Jordanians in April 1963 (following the declaration of the Charter for Arab Federation between Egypt, Syria and Iraq and the resignation of PM Samir Al-Rifa’i), along with other MPs (e.g. Najib Al-Ahmad, Yasser Amro and Daoud Al-Husseini), and sent to Al-Jafar Detention Center until Oct. 1963; co-established the Jordanian National Front in Jerusalem in 1966; formed, together with Bahjat Abu Gharbiyyeh and Subhi Ghosheh, the Civilian Resistance Committee in Jerusalem in May 1967; joined Fateh and left Jerusalem later that year for Amman; became financial consultant of Yasser Arafat and Director of the PLO’s Jerusalem Office in Amman in 1968; worked for the Islamic Bank in Amman from 1968-86; died in 1986 in Amman.
