Born in Jerusalem in 1885; was educated in Greek Orthodox institutes in Jerusalem and earned a degree in Greek language, philosophy, theology and mathematics; continued his education in Lebanon in 1911, majoring in Theology and Arabic Literature; worked as a teacher until 1966; was Director of the Greek Studies Institute in Alexandria; published numerous articles on theology, history, and literature, and was one of the editors of the Papyrus Larousse encyclopedia (published in Greek); died in 1975.
