Born in Silet Al-Harthiyyeh, near Jenin, in 1948; joined the ANM in 1966, then the PFLP after 1967; became a member of the PFLP politburo after 1981; served as a PNC member and as member of its Higher Council for Culture and Science; was member of the General Assembly of the General Union for Palestinian Writers and Journalists; headed Al-Ghad Center for Studies and was on the editorial board of Al-Hadaf magazine; died in Damascus on 20 Sept. 2003.
