Born in Nazareth in 1973; his father, an oud maker, began to teach him the oud at the age of five, and at the age of nine he went on to study at the Music Institute in Nazareth; later graduated from the Mohammed Abdul Wahhab Conservatory in Cairo in 1995; works as oud instructor in different schools; has performed throughout the Arab World, Europe and America, often accompanied on oud by his brother Wissam; has musically accompanied poetry readings of Mahmoud Darwish; has released several albums, incl. Taqaseem (1996), Sou’ Fahm (2001), and Tamaas (accompanied by brother Wissam, 2003), as well as Randana as Le Trio Joubran – together with his two brothers Wissam and Adnan
