Born in Al-Ramleh in 1900; educated in Al-Ramleh, then at As-Salahiyyeh School in Jerusalem; received his higher education in Izmir, Turkey; Chairman of the Young Men’s Muslim Association in Al-Ramleh, 1927; President of the 2nd Palestinian Youth Congress, held in Haifa on 10 May 1935; member of the Arab Higher Committee when it was initiated in April 1936; member of the Palestinian delegation to the London Conference; elected Mayor of Ramleh in 1946; died a year later in 1947.
